since Vir and Commander Sinclair were stationed at Minbar at the same time (I’m assuming, seeing as they’re both the ambassadors of their respective planets they would be in the same area)
and since Sinclair is in command of the Rangers, and Vir is no criminal mastermind, Sinclair would know that Vir was helping to smuggle Narns away from Centauri space
so he would never say anything, and they would only see each other in meetings, or perhaps in the dining hall, but every now and then Sinclair would lock eyes with Vir, smile, and nod slightly
as if to say, “Good work, son. I’m proud of what you’re doing and who you’ve become. Keep it up.”
and that would make Vir feel so much more reassured, and maybe even dare to be proud of himself, because on Centauri Prime of course nobody ever recognized his kindness and gentleness as anything other than stupidity, and in politics of course it was the same way
but here was Commander Sinclair, Hero of the Line, strong, brave, and noble, approving of him and how he was doing what he knew was right
Before Vir left the post Sinclair wanted to let him know just how impressed he was with his bravery and compassion. So one morning Ambassador Sinclair silently approached Vir at breakfast and placed Vir’s gameboy on the table beside him, finally returning the device after all this time.
When Vir looked up to thank him, Sinclair was gone, stealthily melting into the crowd of Minbari.
